So, went over the big 10k and finally got her in. I can not say enough how pleased I am with the mechanic service and customer service I got from the dealer.

I took her in for the normal stuff: oil, wind noise etc...but I also added a steering problem that I actually noticed right when I bought the car, it pulled slightly to the right; not too bad though. They checked it out, and...well she had to spend the night. They even gave me a rental. The pics...hopefully you can see them, shows what they found and did. Hopefully this helps someone out there, or at least just brings awareness...

And Pete, if your reading this - THANKS! And I'll be seeing you again soon with my gf's car.

That is Gunther VW of Coconut Creek, FL - I highly recommend.

If you can't see the pics, and are wanting to know exactly what they did according to the invoice, send me a pm and I'll scan and email it to you.

What are they doing with the information? Is the data available to the customer upon request and is the sample test report linked to the customer/VIN in VWs records? Is VW uncertain if the pumps can withstand US fuel or are they looking specifically for gasoline contamination?

My thought - tracking where I get my fuel from so they can plant a VW dealer near it ;)

Just curious, you're advising people that they did a great job, did you witness which oil they used?

And please, don't say the invoice shows the right part number;)

I understand what you are asking - and my answer then would be no. My assesment was based on the overall experience with the Service Department. From the time I pulled in and handed over my keys, until I received them back with a cleaner car than I had brought in.

Now, granted I can only assume that everything was done correctly (and if not...then I will take it back), based on how I was treated as a customer; I can therefore assume that my car was given as much consideration by the tech's...but the volume of VW's that are sold at my dealer, combined with how busy the Service Department is (usually pretty packed with people all over bringing their cars to this specific dealer) I, again, assume (I know I know...we all know what ass-uming does) that they do their job correctly the first time.

Put aside the "routine" service for which I brought my vehicle in for, everything else that I had an issue about was corrected, and have not presented an issue again.

Echoing what the above poster said... is fuel sample tied to VIN or not?

Way to go Pete. And thanks for posting this OP. It's good to hear about the excellent service and not just the bad service. There are a lot of good VW service, sales, parts departments out there. The one I go to here in Canada is excellent also. They have 2 top notch deisel techs that get to work on all the TDI's. One is a lady. She knows her stuff and is a pretty good looker to. Am I allowed to say that ?

How far away from stuart are you. I cant stand my local dealer (didnt buy the car from them because of how they treated me) and I need a place for the services.

That's like only an hour-ish I think give or take exact start/end points... Coconut Creek is just north of Ft. Lauderdale (Pompano / Coral Springs area). And the dealership is practically right off the highway. Definitely recommend you goin there pdt. Pete gets pretty busy, but send him a pm and I'm sure he'll answer soon.

I'm actually gonna call him today or tomorrow to sched my gf's car (10k service) for this weekend...if the'yre available - hint hint Pete.
