I think you forgot to mention the new door panels...vinistois said:I'm just kind of sad that its not a 'full' mk6. We don't get the nice new mirrors, new door panels, new thicker glass, or the door panels. Really its a mk5 with new dash, and new front-end.
But I love it! mk5.5, mk6, who cares? Its an amazing vehicle.
In Can (and the rest of the world) its a Golf Wagen and in the US it's a JSW. No idea why it had to be different in the US?vinistois said:As far as I know the fogs are unavailable as of yet, you can only get them at purchase time. The canadian wagons just came with them for whatever reason.
Question: a bunch of you have 2010 "JSW" Jetta Sport Wagons. We have no such car in Canada. Is there a 2010 Golf Wagon in the US? So strange...
Because there is more respect for the Golf in other parts of the world. For some strange reason, people see Golfs as cheap here. Thanks to the Dodge Omni and AMC Pacer, I suppose. But the Jetta has name recognition here. In Germany, the Jetta is seen as an old man's car, sort of like a Crown Vic is here. The Golf is immensely popular there.fleuger99 said:In Can (and the rest of the world) its a Golf Wagen and in the US it's a JSW. No idea why it had to be different in the US?![]()
Congrats on the new wheels!moosehead said:Picked our new 2010 Golf Sportwagon up Dec 3, drove to airport in Toronto and spent week on a Dominican Beach dreaming about it. Only put 500 kms on it to airport and now back. Love it. Traded my '07 Passat wagon 2.0T in on it...almost as big as the Passat just a little shorter in the passenger seat area. Doesn't matter...just two of us retired people now and 2 dogs.
Wanted to get back to the TDI as we've had a few over the years ('o4 was last one) but they didn't have TDI available in Canada on 2007 so opted for the Passat. It was a great car and damn eficient for gas!
Now, if they would put this new TDI back into the Passat line!
I cannot understand it either .... LOL as far as car thieves, this is THE place in TO.fleuger99 said:I would never leave a brand spanking new car at Pearson for a week!!![]()
I have been looking for information on this...I have a 2010 Golf Wagon (I am in Canada) on order and was told that it comes with a block heater but can't find any documentation to the effect. Do you know if it is a coolant heater or a block heater? Do you have any specs?vinistois said:Canada baby... its foggy up here all the time! Looks like vw knows all about it.
I don't know if the block heater is standard everywhere but I got one with mine.
