I had fun today. A bunch of local VW guys had a "dyno day" today and I took my Revo tuned 2009 Jetta Sportwagen. This was a Mustang 4 wheel Dynomometer and it gets calibrated twice a month (so says the owner). Anyway the results were a pleasant surprise.

Maximum HP was 146.1 and maximum torque was 283.0 - and both of these numbers were measured at the wheel. When corrected for conditions (multiplied by Weather Correction Factor), that works out to a maximum power 156.3HP and maximum torque of 302.9 lb-ft.

{edit} After doing some research, I discovered that WCF is *NOT* a "Wheel Correction Factor", it is a "Weather Correction Factor" that compensates for temperature and altitude. The above paragraph has been corrected. Therefore the second set of numbers should be correct.

The guy who owns the dyno was amazed that a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine could produce over 300 ft-lbs of torque. He obviously doesn't know a lot about diesels.

Here's the official results:

and the graph:

They did 3 runs and this one was the best. I realize that there can be variations between dynos, but I like these numbers.

Special thanks to vwmikel - he's the one who drove the car for me on the dyno. He knows a lot more about these things than I do.

Have Fun!
