Hello all,
These are some quick pictures of my new baby. I bought it on the 24th of September, it is my first new car. I was introduced to the board by my uncle who has a 99 Jetta TDI GLS. These pictures were taken at Cooper's Rock State Forest just east of Morgantown, WV.
The car is a stock GLS now, but I have the Blaupunkt Alaska II on order and will document my install with pictures so you all can see how it goes if anyone is interested.

Congratulations! What a beautiful car! I hope it will give you many years of pleasure, pride and enjoyment.

By the way, I just took delivery yesterday (sept. 28th) on MY new year 2000 white Golf GLS-TDI with beige interior and luxe package and special promotion $250 cd changer. I have no access to a scanner nor do I have a digital camera, so I do not expect to post any photos of my car. Six months and one day from purchase order to actual delivery.

Wow! we're so lucky!

Great looking ride, congrats.

You don't need a digital camera or a scanner to get your pics converted to digital format (I shouldn't be saying this, I work for Olympus). Many mail order film developing companies will now put all your pictures on CD-rom (Seattle filmwors is one that comes to mind). And you can go to any Kinko's to have a favorite picture converted, a couple of buck's I think.

...or you can send them to me via snail mail (if you already have them developed), and I'll scan them for you.
Unforuntatly updates won't happen terribly quickly though.

I think most places will put any roll of film on a CD for less than $12 a roll. (Meijers does it here in MI fo alittle less than that I think). The quality of the pictures is actually very good.

My Golf GL will make it here someday. maybe Todd Scott will show up at the race on sunday with his car and we can take pictures of them together!

Scanners are cheap. You can get a flatbed scanner that'll do more than you'll ever need for fifty bucks or so, after rebates. Watch those sales! A scanner was one of the best computer-related investments I ever made. (Now I just need to develop some film so I can post a few pics!)

Nice car, by the way. I want a black one, with leather and an automatic, for my wife. I would get the wood dash kit, aftermarket 16" rims, suspension kit, CD changer...wait! Somebody stop me! It's happening again....
