White Gold is not available in the US for the 2010 Golf. However, Shark Blue Metallic is unique to the Golf.

Well for your information, I don't drink because I have diabetis.

If it is past my bedtime smartypants, what about yours?
It's three hours later there than here. So who's past their bedtime.

I'm glad you know so dam much! Tell us how you know whether or
not VW will offer the 2010 Golf with or without White Gold?
Do you have the 2010 Golf brochure? Good if you do, but I haven't seen one yet.
I do have a brochure for the 2010 Sportwagen, and I had it prior to the
car arriving at any dealership in the US, but not one for the 2010 Golf.

As far as Lew is concerned, you evidently know him and I don't.
As far as him having Lyme disease, I know nothing about that problem or what is does to a person.
Judging from his profile, it would seem to this old man that he is completely
able to take care of himself and for that matter to speak for himself.

As far as I am concerned young man, you should speak only when spoken to.
Keep your stupid opinions to yourself because I'm not the least bit interested in what you think!

That's what I always have not liked about some engineers. They think they're so darned
smart, when in reality, they're not smart enough to know how dumb they really are.

You think you know so much about VWs? How many have you owned?
I've had only three. All brand new. The first was a 1977 'C' model diesel (1457CC) tudor.
But you were two young when that one first came out weren't you?
My next was a 1978 'L' model diesel four door that I turboed
myself and changed the gears to improve performance.
My last was a 2002 TDI slushbox Wagon, Upsoluted and with Kerma's PP520s,
and it was a real runner. But you know all about them don't you?

I'm really sorry that you have such a low opinion of yourself and that you stay up
much too late yourself and know more about the 2010 Golfs than anyone else!

I simply thought VW would indeed have the White Gold color
available in the '10 Golf. I'm still not sure that they don't!

Can you name and tell us how many different VWs were and are available in White Gold?

Good to bed young'un and please don't be so offense.
Realize that you DO NOT KNOW IT ALL.

:(
White Gold is not available on the 2010 Golf according to the latest information from VW:
http://www.vw.com/golf/360view/en/us/

I won't address the rest of your rant. I hope you felt better after a good night's sleep. ;)

Hey can some one direct me to where I can buy the JSW mat kit with the heavy duty trunk liner. Do I have to go to my local VW dealer to get them.

Darrell - don't be so sensitive brother. People throw little innocent jabs at one another all day on these forums. Comes with the territory.

Simma' down now! Good Lord.

Here we go. I love it so much! Havent found a thing I don't like about it yet.
I'm going to put a rack on top and tint the windows when I save up enough money. I might also install the fog lights.

That looks great man. Can't wait to see it tinted with the roof rack (my exact future setup I'm hoping). Are you tinting all windows or just rear sides and back? What is the official name of those wheels ?? I would love to see more pictures of your wagen. What made you decide on a roof rack instead of a hitch rack? (was it no hitch?) Was it looks or functionality? Thanks - hammersc

JSW: rear hatch release

Is anyone having issues with the hatch release? I push the button inside, and I hear it release, but by the time I get back there, it makes another noise and it's locked again... It's driving me CraZy!

Rear Hatch

The rear hatch is kind of a crappy design. As far as I can tell, the button to the left of the driver's seat does nothing unless all of the doors are unlocked. The best way I've found to open it is to press the unlock button on the key or door twice (so all doors unlock) then you can open it by hand from the back. In regards to the tint, I'll probably just do the rear side and back. I live in Cali where they don't allow any tint other than factory on the front sides.

Sweet rims? They totally take that wagon to another level while still looking "factory clean". Love 'em.

Ok here is a random question for those new owners. And I'll preface my question by saying Yes I know you don't buy a diesel wagon for acceleration numbers but I've had a hard time getting a real world number from VWofA so...

What is 0-60 time?

Also I know it's not best to floor the go pedal on a new engine - but those who can report please do. Thanks.

The VW Jetta wagen site says 9.5 from 0-60.
Hey Jeff, I wouldn't go by that, I think that number is crap. Various road tests have put the JS TDI at around 8.4 seconds, the wagen wouldn't be that much slower...

Interesting that the JS TDI on VW's site has 8.2 seconds, same as the 2.5. Point being, that typos are not uncommon or infrequent on that site.

Too many of you Vortex guys are hanging out here... I can barely keep up with the Mk6 forums as it is. :D

I've driven both and can't really tell the difference. Might be due to a difference in weight. I can't believe they weigh the same even though some sources claim just that. The most important numbers to me are full tank to empty in 600 miles.

Hey DeizNutz - You're one to talk! Few people post more than you...although SOME of yours are actually quite entertaining.

Soon to have a 2010 JSW
Just talked to the Broker today. Getting a Blue Graphite/Cornsilk on order. Hopefully will have it in about a month.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! I've been so excited about this possibility since it first became a possibility about three months ago.

My commute is over 20 miles each way in LA traffic, can't wait for the increased mileage. Currently have an 01 New Beetle. Wife has an 07 Rabbit. This will be the 6th Volkswagen in a row for me.

I did the math a coupla weeks ago (posted somewhere on 'tex) and IIRC the wagon only weighs ~150 lbs more than the sedan. Which makes perfect sense to me, as most of that additional volumn is occupied by air. ;)

Thanks buddy. :D I think a whole lot of people don't understand that they're meant to be entertaining... I thought the whole reasoning behind forums was 1) Information 2) Entertainment.

I have met at least 20 folks in the last 3 years that ask the Dealer to disable there DRL's.........Never not once........
Why would a Reputable dealer disable a Manufacterers installed safety device.........
Yep, that's me!! I have a Vag-Com I will do it for you come on by ;)

By the way I stand corrected!! DRL's are not mandated in any state!! So I was wrong in my statement and I admit it!!
However I have never met anyone yet that got a Stealer to turn theres off!!

Easy big fella... I've never started any trouble here, no reason to now. :p

If I had to choose one place to do TDI stuff, it would be here... more of a 'hardcore'/helpful audience and not quite as many annoying kids and dumbasses. Unfortunately I have other interests that 'tie' me to the 'tex...

The only problem with active discussions on both sites is 1) more to keep up with 2) lots of redundancy. Oh well...

comment was not directed at you anyway so please don't take offense and for the record, I'm not big or a 'fella'.. was born female and grew up loving cars (either it's in your blood or it's not) and had grown up around VW and diesel VWs (not new to TDIclub at all since my mom has had her TDI Jetta since 2002) but this is my first official TDI (glad they finally decided to bring back manual to the golf otherwise I probably would have been in an A3 TDI by now already if they were available in manual in USA!)

DOH!

OK so I get today's "foot-in-mouth" award. :D
Somewhat natural to regard this site as even more of a sausagefest than vortex, but obviously in your case a very poor assumption on my part. A thousand pardons. :)

Glad to know more about you DiezNutz. You are clearly a VW expert. My 2010 JSW TDI is my first VW (although my wife had a cabriolet when I was dating her years ago). BTW, in what state is BFEburg, and were you in the service (I was on subs).
