I suspect they are manufactured in different factories. I know Jettas and NBs are made in Mexico. Are the 2010 Golfs made in Germany (or some place else)? This is probably the reason. One factory (or more) has been re-tooled for MKVI, but the Mexico factory gets updated next year. Doesn't seem to fit the whole economies of scale theory...
My real question is since 2010 Jettas are still MKVs, should this MKVI forum be limited to only 2010 Golfs? Next year it could expand with 2011 Jettas, etc. This is a call the mods are going to have to make.
