Well I got this Golf TDI, on June 4. Been enjoying it ever since. This is my first brand new car. I have been driving the same Toyota 4x4 pickup since I was 16 (has over 230k miles). Figured since I am almost 26, time to upgrade :D
Currently have over 2k miles on the TDI. Really loving the 6 speed manual, it is a blast to drive. Contemplating removing the Golf badge, and maybe tinting the windows, but not sure yet. Also some black or anthracite wheels would look nice. As of right now I am just going to enjoy it

Options on the car:
Power Sunroof
Cold Weather Package - Heated Seats and Washer Nozzles
Golf Protection Plus - Monster Mats, Chrome exhaust Tips
VW trunkliner with Organizer Blocks

Just washed the car and figured I should take a few pics.

Looks like I might need to adjust the chrome tips... looking a little crooked in the picture, might just be due to the staggering...

Nice ride. I hope to purchase a tdi soon. I like those two doors. I like the 4 doors also, two many choices JSW, sedan, golfs, I love them all.

Today I debadged the Golf emblem on the back, and removed the lame dealer license plate trim. Also straightened my front license plate bracket out, the dealer had mounted it crooked. I will have to say the Golf lettering was way easy to remove. Just let it sit in the heat all day (90ish) and used some dental floss, a credit card, and some goof off. I also tucked my chrome exhaust tips in and straightened them out. I will say the rear of my car is looking real nice :) really like the removed Golf badge. I will grab a pictures at a later date (dark outside now). Now I wish my monster mats in my car do not say GOLF, but I got them before the TDI mats came out :(

For those debadging their Golfs. Any chance I could buy the Golf badge from you? I'm looking to rebadge my JSW.

I love the fog lights on the Golf btw. Wish they were an option for the JSWs.

Welcome and congrats on your Wurshington purchase!

I'd be thinking a little quicker at getting those windows tinted...it must be hotter than hell in Tri-Cities.

Consider going to TDI Fest in Portland over Labor Day Weekend!

Haha yeah, it is hotter than hell here, I think it hit 97 today.... I work outside so I guess I am getting use to it though. The question is what tint% do I want? Had an old pickup with it that I could not see **** through it during the night, so I pulled it all off, though it was done by the original owner and was purple and bubbly....

thanks all!

Really looking at getting it tinted. It is hot as poop here (102F today!!!). I am just torn between either a 35 or 50 ceramic tint, never had tint and don't want my night driving too much affected, but then I want to make sure the tint does its job. Really leaning towards the 35 but I have yet to hit up the tinter to see what i actually like. Thoughts on tint?

ceramic not really worth it. you only get a little more protection for a much higher price. even my own tint guy didn't recommend it. i got 50 up front and 20 on rear door and hatch. not too dark at all. i love it. just debadged the "golf" on mine today. hopefully i can post pics soon.

only 4k miles for me... and I thought I was putting on some serious mileage ;) It is nice to hear from the people happy with their 2010 TDIs versus the people scared about their HPFP imploding. Interesting so see you have pulled the same average MPG as me according to Fuelly, though mine seems to be constantly getting better. Though I will admit the fun factor has an effect, stepping on the gas and going through the gears or driving fast into corners does not help the MPGs :D

Slapped a sticker on the TDI. No I do not constantly get 50... more in the 42ish for an entire tank, but I have had more than a few trips were I broke 5o mpgs so therefore I feel I can wear this sticker :D

Plus I feel happy every time I pull infront of a prius... I know they have to be jealous.

Also gave the TDI a bath. Here is a pic I thought turned out not too shabby.
