With all of our frustrations I think that VW is about to lose a generation of repeat TDI buyers... (hardcore TDIer's excluded) I am hoping that my TDI lives a long time with no more issues and that other companies start making diesel cars available in the meantime. Maybe that'll light a fire under VW's butt! (prob not)?

Well I don't really consider the vibrations a frustration. Maybe I was expecting the car to vibrate and shake (altho from what I have read, mine never shook like an earthquake or Linda Blair's head in The Exorcist like some of you have complained about) as diesels have a reputation for being loud, obnoxious, and shakey.

It was fine with me as it was my first diesel and that's what I expected.

However, definitely after having the BG update, this car is now more car like than what diesels have been known to behave as.

I love my diesel baby.

I love my car and the sound of the diesel clatter warms my heart. The MPG and perforamance is great. It's just a little ridiculous that it won't start when it rains or I wash it! - Matt
