my 02 jetta 6 speed swap.

well i bought it last october, and it had a famous 01m tranny in it that blew up a couple thousand miles after i got it. so i did a 6 speed manual swap and it was the best thing i could have done also did some other stuff like the wheels and chip, its very clean for what i paid, and the best thing is the 49.4 mpg with a/c on full of luggage. heres some pics. im in need of lowering it so i might get some gli springs or something

I have the .622 5th gear in my 5 speed. I think if I had a 6 speed I would just skip 5th. Not that I would mind having a 6 speed....I did look into it when my tranny went bad, but I did the R&P upgrade as well as a Wavetrac LSD. I should post a pic, as our cars are similar, though my rims are OEM Montreal II's, and I have the golf nose.

Well it was a auto before so mileage was like 42ish . Just got my mileage a couple weeks ago and it's getting slightly under 52mpg so I'm not complaining . One thing I should have done before I installed the tranny in the first time was get rid of the dual mass flywheel and switch too single if your running any type of power, it is a lil noisier but worth it
