That's a great pic! After putting some much needed time and love into our car, it's running better than ever. I was SO excited to sell it and get a Jetta (little one on the way), but now I'm not so sure. I'm now thinking of getting a panzer plate (or CDN alternative) as our car doesn't have a belly pan and it should help with our MPG a bit.

Where's the cord? Or is it on the other side hidden by the car
Say whaaa? Cord? Oh, you're talking bout the lawnmower! Be nice!

BTW (acronym) the black dot ("BD") has been getting almost 46 mpg lately, city driving. How 'bout you? I bet you don't have a little BD like mine! :p

You are silly!

No, not the LM cord, but the coolant pre-heater cord.

That's very good city mpg. No, I don't have an NB. But I hope one day I'll own either an NB or a Golf.

Now, no more excuses after this as I'm going to look for that cord ;)

OH.....Frostheater.......I get it! See that window in front of the left headlight? There's an electrical outlet under that window. It's waiting for Santa to come with a new Frostheater.

A cord "may" be displayed sometime in January, in a new picture. Either I'm going to get a Frostheater or a brand spankin NEW stock Monsoon CD player (provided Santa found the correct year model Monsoon for my BD).

The frostheater is the least expensive of the two. The CD player is more difficult to find. I don't know what Santa has in mind for HoneyBeetle.

First Biodiesel Today!

Wow, I'm excited. Today my Beetle had her first taste of biodiesel, along with an 8 oz chaser of Standadyne Performance Formula! Boy am I happy about this! I've wanted to do this for over a year. :D

This is where I went, T.H. Malloy and Sons in Cumberland, RI, maybe a 30 minute drive, not bad, yes?

BTW: Those globes you see in the picture is actual paranormal activity caught on camera. Rhode Island is loaded with ghosts.

Next, I took a picture of my first mileage count at the station. The picture isn't too great. Never the less, I can't wait to see if my mpg are better (but for letting my son drive home from the football game and to our celebration dinner). I can't wait to see if some things change, maybe sweeter exhaust smell, quieter pistons, smoother start-ups...who knows?

Also, yes I know.....the air bag light is on. I'll get to it, soon. First, let me enjoy my day at the pumps!

My Beetle is the BEST!!!

I love it when pictures hide dings and blemishes, particularly after a nice nano-wax job! She looks sweet doesn't she?
I wonder if she'll look better after her B20 make-over?

Hey there, TDI MB owners- How many of us are there? I have a MANUAL '01 with TDI tha I understand was brought in special by the original owner. I am totally in love with it. Average 39-47 MPG depending on traffic. Been having some glow plug issues, but not huge- needs a new relay switch which I cannot afford at the moment. Does anyone know the urgency of this? What does it mean if my glow plug indicator blinks red for a moment on a below freezing day?

On a really cold day you may have to plug her in if the rely is on it's way south! Is the first start of the day getting to be a hard start?:(

Honey Beetle,

Did you notice any change after adding B20 to the tank. It should have been a little quieter & the exhaust should have been a little sweeter.:)
