Has anyone used 2 oil separators like one from a 2 liter gas and hook that to the BMW cyclone one?

And can anyone confirm that a 1.8t pan will fit an ALH block, is the sump compatible?

My plan is to have the cyclone oil separator drain into the pan through the turbo drain fitting on the 1.8t pan

I can confirm the 1.8t pan fits. Interesting idea of the oil return from the catch to the stock drain.. Subscribing to see what others say.

Thank you, that's about 2/3rds of what I was wondering. I may just try running 2 and see what shakes out...or drips out

That will keep the oil separator pressurized while the engine is running
but it should 'gravity' drain if you can make the hose run straight enough.

WC,
I suspect you're overthinking this. I installed a simple filtered can,
after ~ 1000 miles I've got maybe a tablespoonfull of oil. I checked it
recently, and didn't even bother emptying it. Mind you, I think the
turbo is running cleaner, so it is worth doing IMO.
Cheers,

Maybe I'll just do the cyclonic BMW and have it drain to the pan...I'm looking for a totally Maintenance free setup and I need an ALH pan for another car...
