Has anyone used these guys?

http://www.modulemaster.com/en/abs/ate_mk20.php

I found them through ebay while diagnosing my second lateral sensor failure. Part number 1J0907651A.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-Audi-TT-...build-1J0907651A-10-0980-0053-1-/281073182520

Long story short: I replaced the sensor, it lasted 1 year and it's now failing again like the last one.

The problem is a chip, surface mounted to the board and then encased with the polyurethane stuff. It gets under the chip and lifts it up causing the failure.

Look here: http://bluevisions.de/projects/Golf_IV_ESP.html

It's a manufacturing defect. If you get a new sensor, it'll do the same. So I'm going to find my old sensor and send it off to them for the permanent fix.

Talked to a nice tech guy on the phone, Gavin and he explained everything to me. He has an Audi TT and we were talking about our cars.

They also fix LCD displays in the VDO clusters.

Eventually it had to happen: in my golf IV Year 2000 reports at irregular intervals, the ESP light. Using diagnostic software could interface together with the following error message will read: Implausibles signal G200 sensor.

Well, not much but a clue. For half a year I'm gegondelt with more or less functioning ESP through world history - now it has me so annoyed that I have tried a repair. In the I-Net reports can be found in various forums and tutorials. So hastily times sought and found. The error is caused by a year until the end of 2000 built sensor which apparently has poor solder joints. So far so good, from the workshop can repair friendly too, but does not seem to be really cheap. Was therefore determined relatively quickly: out with the sensor under the soldering iron and all is well again!

First, the sensor must be exposed. To do away the trim under the steering wheel. It is best to start off with the fusebox on (door and then gently pull the side cover out of their snaps:
http://bluevisions.de/projects/Golf_IV_ESP/GOLF_IV_ESP_F001.jpg

Torx screws and then remove all the trim pieces (2 pieces - left and right) unclip. After that you see this type of panel - probably a reinforcing plastic or so:

These plastic fairing with various Torx screws tightened so all loose and lively weiterklipsen:

Once you have this plastic piece off you can already see on the right side of the steering wheel sensor G200. It is the little box in the gold / bronze farbenem holder. The holder can unscrew with a 13mm nut. Then simply pull the two connectors (The ignition should rather be out :)) and you've got the two sensors in the hand:

With this sensor, you can double then go into the workshop. The sensor G200 is the smaller box and it is just clipped. Release the clips and you have the sensor in the hand:

Unfortunately this part is cast powerful - a black mass obscuring the view of the board:

With a screwdriver can be the stuff CAREFULLY scrape / wegknibbeln. This lasted for quite a long time. I have about 20 minutes to get used to the board from the chassis. A reader has sent me the tip - use the handle of a plastic spoon so you can really damage anything ...

Eventually a board comes to the fore. The next hurdle is that the board in the case of three pins is festgeklipst and is also festbetoniert with this black mass. As I get out the board as I can but ill describe a tip: with a steel hook sideways driving under the board and press against all the housing bottom and then solve the mush. At the same time, you should desolder the connections boards (three pins directly to the plug). After endless frickeln you can then "choke out" the board. Amazingly, stayed with me the same as the lateral acceleration sensor stuck in the body - probably really bad solder joints. In this picture you can see the sensor in the ground and the board next to it.

Once you have surgically removed the sensor from the black stuff (! Important position because of connections remember) it should look like this:

The point on the sensor housing (right below here) has, as seen in the picture, pointing to the lower right corner of the board!

Now solder it to the sensor and insert it back into the housing. First I wanted the Paste Silicone - Solid hardened in the tube! Since it did not help the side to pump the stuff. CRAP! So the handyman's best friend heat up and seal the sensor with hot glue sealed.

Not save with the hot glue, is not supposed to get wet! The result can be seen:

Now the clip the sensor back into the holder ...

And ... off you go into the car with it. First the plug on it and using diagnostic software check whether the sensor do so again. To select the ABS STG, reading group 4 times look and wiggle the sensor. Imagine then acceleration values as a function of the shaking of a folded hats! All that remains is to clear the fault memory, fix the sensor holder with 13 mm screw and then the front panel. Thus, the error should be corrected.

I've used them quite a few times to fix Audi ABS modules. Never have an issue with them always came back clean and weel sealed. Would highly recommend them.

just finally took out my lateral sensor and sent it to them for repair. Got tired of the brakes being applied randomly.

Figured Christmas break was a good time to have it done.

Two years later and I'd like to give an update;

So after replacing the said sensor above, the random ABS activation got better but started happening again. This time, on really bone jarring bumps.

At the same time, I started getting DTC for brake booster sensor intermittent.

Once, and only once, it threw a DTC and identified the Yaw rate sensor
1JO907657B

So I went to ebay and found a "refurbished" sensor. Things got better, no more ABS activation but just yesterday, the ABS light came on after a month.

So I took some deoxit and sprayed fuse #9 hopefully the DTC won't come back

Where are these sensors located? Under the steering wheel? I'm particularly looking for the ESP module duosensor. I've got a 2003 Jetta TDI and I think mine is bad. I think the part # for that one is 1J0-907-655-A

Just above your brake light switch below the steering column
