Mobil 1 TDT deal at Autozone

I got up to 13 gallons myself, I was too busy to be driving all over creation to find different stores at 2-3 bottles each. Thanks for the great sale however! I'm happy to take Autozone's money if they want to give it away.

If Autozone truly is phasing out TDT, I would imagine it is just a matter of time before all stores mark down the quarts as well.

Of the Autozones I've been to recently, all are sold-out of the gallons of TDT, but the ones which stock the quarts are jammed up with them. I can't imagine they will ever fly off the shelves at $9/quart.

Go back and try to buy some of the quarts. It seems to be a store-by-store thing thus far, but some of the fellow members on the Jeep Liberty CRD forum I'm on have found the quarts being sold for $1 each.

Yes, that is correct. $1 per quart is not a misprint. The stores they referenced were in Arizona among other places, but I haven't found any at that price in the South. It is the same as the gallons - the price is not marked on the wall, just when it scans and totaled up.

I scored 18 gallons last night... not bad for 45 min of work.

It will be interesting to see if the price falls more after the new year as they try to get rid of it.

It's 4 quarts (one gallon) not 5.

And I just went on their site (maybe you did too) and they only list the quart sizes, which are a much better buy @ $1.00 a qt. than $3.24 for the jug.

It is posted elsewhere in this thread. The part number for the gallon size is 120782. If you are legitimately asking about a five gallon pail, I have no idea.

They dont sell a 5 gallon pail. only 1-gallon jugs and 1-quart containers (none of the stores in my area carry the quarts, only the 1-gallon jugs)

I really don't think the $12.99 deal was an indication that they are going to stop carrying the oil or an attempt to get rid of stock. IMO, it was genuinely a mistake on their part.
The other oils covered in that ad are much less expensive, so the $12.99 price was not so outrageous on those. And when you looked up that deal online it asked you to pick the specific oil you wanted, and TDT wasn't one of the options.
I think it was just a mistake on their part, and a very expensive one at that. I picture a very stressful meeting in a conference room reviewing a monthly report.

The $1 quart deal, yes, I think that is a local move where some specific stores are going to stop carrying that size, but I don't think AZ is planning to discontinue TDT altogether.

I found it in Tennessee and Georgia for $1/quart. The price was also clearly marked on the shelf where the oil was and instantly rang up that way, not later on at the payment stage like the gallons did.
