Mobil 1 TDT deal at Autozone

Wow ! I just went to my local autozone and they had 4 on the shelf that I bought. I asked them to ring up the total and 12.99! I was so excited that I left my house with out my wallet lol luckily it's snowing bad hear in port jervis ny that not many people our out. I asked if they had more and they did not but said I could have them bring it from another store.

Anyone find this deal in So Calif. have called 2 AZ near me and they only have quarts?

I got a couple here in SD.
Went to my local auto zone and they didnt have gallons only quarts. and they didnt want to sell them to me in quarts because they couldnt believe the offer, since each quart is 8.99 so they called another nearby store Autozone to check if they had gallons and they did. I drove over there and was afraid they would make a big deal about it. But I just grabbed it and took it to the counter, didnt even mention the add. after It showed up 12.99 total I went to get 4 more. they were impressed as well as to how cheap it was..

I picked up another 3 gallons this morning-as I was walking to the register,the girl asked me if I wanted her to check to see if they had more out back-I said no,not at this time,I need some money till payday...... when she rang it up,she told me how much I was saving-over 1/2 off-I said that's why I'm buying it.......I have 5 now,probably will take the unopened Rotella back to Wally World.

I just bought 2 gallons today at Autozone. The Delvac was marked $12.99 and the TDT was still marked $29.99. It rang up for $12.99 once the discounts applied though.

I got Walmart to price match! there weren't going to do it because i didn't have the paper flyer (just the PDF from online) but then I produced the receipt from the earlier Autozone trip and it was a done deal:

I'd just like to join the list of those thanking the OP for posting the information on this sale. I bought two gals at AZ then 4 more at Walmart. That took a little effort but once I showed them the receipt from AZ from 20 minutes earlier plus the ad circular posted here the manager relented. Interestingly, she called the AZ and the clerk who answered said it was a package and required the purchase of a filter. Once I cleared that up I paid and left. I'm now set for some time to come.

Crazy deal. I bought the last 3 at the store in Concord last week. They didn't believe it either. The guy at the register was mad that he didn't know about it because he said he would have bought it all.

I now have 4 gallons on the shelf, but still feel tempted to go buy more! Crazy good deal.

I tried to price match a few things there recently and every experience was a complete hassle and resulted in me arguing the published corporate policy on their website with the manager who would not budge. Their website clearly states the customer is not required to have the store printed ad to pricematch. I'm not sure if the managers are directed to give people a hard time or they are just complete dumbasses. Not even worth the time...

They suck, I asked them to match the price of something sold at their website in store and they told me "we don't price match our online store, you can order it and have it shipped to store for free and come pick it up in a few days."

Is it on their site? I didn't want to ask them if they would give me the on-sale gallon price if they are claiming they don't even sell it by the gallon...

Just go into the store and ask the clerk to check stock at other area stores.

After procrastinating multiple times, I finally went to my AZ and picked-up 5 jugs of the TDT. The clerk at AZ couldn't believe it was $17.00 off the normal price. I should be set for a while. Thanks to the OP or whoever pointed out this great deal.

I've seen all of the other flavors of Mobil 1 in 5 qt jugs, but not the Turbo Diesel Truck 5w-40.

I picked up 3 gallons in Bladensburg, Md Rt 202, last 3 on shelf, they may have more, but in this area I have plent Autobones I can hit and I will bet they will have some. I bought this even though I have 1 5 gallon jug og 0-40 ($22.97) and just got 12 qts of the same for $5, but I may be making some vehicular moves, 1 can use th 0-40 and othe can use the TDT, but if not, it will last, I have an OCI coming up on the Golf next month and the nex will be lat spring and Ican go back to TDT.

You're right...my mistake...(Why do people say "My bad"???? sounds so
s-t-u-p-i-d. It's truly a race to the bottom, but I digress.)

It was the regular Mobil 1 that was actually in the 5 LITER size.

I would upload a pic of them side by side but it asks for a URL....it's on my hard drive for goodness sakes. Does my hard drive have a URL??

Today I called the same AutoZone that previously told me they did not sell gallons and gave them the item number. They told me they have six of them so I went and picked them up. Thanks!

Also, if anyone really wants to stock up, the AutoZone in DC has 114 gallons of it.

Ended up hitting the JACKPOT today at one store...went in looking for the gallon jugs and came out with a cart full of these That's right 1$ each! Guy that checked me out said AZ was not going to be selling it anymore, they just wanted it off the shelves.

All and all I picked up 8 gallons...bought a few of the bigger jugs too. I'll be on the hunt for more 1 qt bottles now..$4 a gallon!

Well, that explains why the deep discount - they are discontinuing it, and thus just want to clear out inventory....

I didn't see $1 quarts (that is ridiculous), but did get 3 gallons today. The clerk was shocked at the pricing....

Anybody see any reason this oil couldn't/shouldn't be used in a gas car? I know its intended for Diesels - but wouldn't that just mean its even a better quality?
