Any one using mobil 1 esp 507 oil? It's a low saps LL04 oil. Curious about Change durations. Would like to see some uoa's.

It's a 5/30 weight, any camshaft wear issues like the pd Motors and 5/30?

It's 507, so it's good to go.

10k is the OCI.

No camshaft issues apparent on the EA288. Only the PD generation had the pronounced cam lobes that prematurely wore out.

Here is my latest UOA for the GSW, using the dealer-available Castrol Edge Pro LL03. No issues:

Going by the specs it seems to be one of the best, if not the best of the 507 oils. I used to run it before modifying my car. I also liked the M1 Formula M esp 5w-40(not 507), but they discontinued that oil.

Right now I have Rotella 0w-40 in it. When the weather warms up I'll switch to either Rotella or Delo 5w-40. If I ever get my act together and take advantage of the Delvac1 5w-40 rebate deals, I'll use that.

Mobil1 ESP now comes in 0w-30 flavor and is VW507 approved. Cheapest I've seen with just a google search is $7.66/qt. Could be popular for the harsher cold climates.

I ran M1 5W30 ESP and 5W40ESP and never noticed any issues. Bummer about 5W40 being discontinued, it seemed more local places stocked that (NAPA) and had decent sales.

I think I have two oil changes worth of oil on hand, some castrol and some total i picked up off amazon, 507 oil isn't that hard to find these days even though finding a deal may be a little bit harder.

Mobil 1 ESP is all I use. Supposedly one of the best out there. Is a real class IV synthetic. I buy from a reputable seller on eBay for a good price.

ECS Tuning has the
Mobil1 5w30 esp for $7.99 per liter and with spending $49 or more you get free shipping.

However watch your quantities because after so much the weight does not qualify for the free shipping.
