Mobil 1 505.00 ??

I can get Mobil 1 0W40 that specifies compliancy with 502 and 505.00. Anyone know if I can use this in my 2004 Jetta TDI? Book calls for 505.01. Is 505.00 good enough?

You can use Mobil 1 ESP 5W30, comes in liter bottles available at Pep Boys. 507 approved. 507 supercedes 505.01, 506.01.

Better one to use is the M1 ESP FM 5W-40 MB229.51 spec oil

Hasn't the 505.01 debate been hashed over enough? Just use Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 and be done with it.

Anyway, what do you tink about using an oil meeting 505.01 AND MB229.51 with some ZDDPlus or other anti-wear additive?
