Agreed. Considering the condition and all. Although I have seen 1-2 in similar condition with slightly more miles for a little less here in MN. Which is insane.
Thing is I can go to cali and get one with under 150k for ~$6k and it would be cleaner.

I'd raise you to $2500. Problem is the car will rot away long before the engine, and with the low miles I wouldn't be surprised if the pump starts leaking this winter lol. Then I have to have an after plan of what to do with the engine/trans. Which wouldn't be that hard to do.
I wonder what the underside looks like.

Looking for a couple parts. Anyone have a mk4 Jetta driver side fender liner? I may also need some of those plastic body plugs for under the car. Round and the oval ones from the rockers.

pretty much all of mine have big tire rub areas
the rear is solid, but the front is all busted up

body plugs I got plenty of, especially if they're sizes that cross over to NBs since I got more of those than G/J parts cars

The fender liners are pretty cheap new. I think around $20.

Random thought for the day that I should have mentioned earlier:

I took the engine out of my '06 to do a wrangler swap. The jetta awaits Rosemount U-pull to pick it up when I call them. If anyone needs parts from it, let me know what you need. I probably won't call u-pull till late winter for in the spring to pick it up.

I've removed the engine, but am not using the stage 2 clutch/flywheel, manual trans, and the entire car... It was running perfectly before I yanked the engine. Some rust on the rockers and such led me to look for a swappable wrangler, one came up so I pulled the trigger. Otherwise I'd be driving it today.

Food for thought if anyone is looking for MK5 parts.

Ya, the car is definitely worth it in today's market. I payed 600$ for the beetle with a blown head and had to drive across wisc for it. I'd buy it if I could use it, but....yea, already have a part car and don't need another backup rn.

Earlier this year I replaced 2 of 4 glowplugs after GlowBugTDI kindly read my codes. My '02 Golf has mostly been parked since then ('cuz I do all my warm-months errands/travels on motos) ..and I've yet to locate someone (relatively nearby) to clear the codes. I'm near MN State Fairgrounds. Perhaps Hudson WI Auto Center (Cole/Eric/Blake) would do it? (while I'm there ..never been). Or someone on this forum? Thanks.

Whatever you need with your '02 Golf, Eric Merker can do it. He kept my '03 Golf running until I reached and slightly surpassed my goal of one million miles. Now I'm too far away to go there for any problem I'm likely to encounter, but he still has my highest recommendation.

Cheap beater wagon with low miles. 01 alh. Saw it and while its a pile, for the miles and being a wagon I figure it's fair. $1k would be a great price.

I completely agree, and that $750 is what I would rather pay for it lol. Sent it to my brother none the less to see if he wants a beater wagon to try a tdi. Told him he could lift it and never have to worry about the paint.

Correct, this is a GLS. Many people get them confused, or don't know the difference if they aren't very involved with vw's.
