That was their regular price, not a sale price, the last time I bought oil there. But the $12/gallon rebate makes it a super deal. And AFAIK no other retailer sells Delvac 1 for anywhere close to that price; at truckstops it's in the range of $36-$38 a gallon or maybe more.Did anyone see the add from Fleet Farm? Delvac 1 ESP $23.95 per gallon with a $12.00 per gallon main-in rebate. That puts it at $11.95 per gallon, limit of 5.

Heh, funny how these cars are. You modify them to go faster, and it improves the fuel economy too.281,000 miles on my 2002 ALH 646 miles to low fuel this past tank; same performance as when it was a baby in the world.
I've seen a significant improvement in fuel economy with the cooler weather, no doubt because of a reduced need to use the air conditioner. In fact, my Golf's 5-tank moving average of fuel mileage is currently the highest it's been since late March. For me, MPGs are always best in the spring and fall, worst in the hottest period of the summer and the coldest part of the winter, since I came back to Minnesota four years ago.Has anyone seen their MPG drop drastically last week? I normally get 47-48 mpg and last week when it was cooler it dropped to 42. Is the cold really taking that big of a hit with it's efficacy?
Don't the fuel stations around here start moving to a winter mix in mid-October? Doesn’t apply if you haven't filled recently, but winter mix definitely does not provide the mileage unmixed fuel does. Could also be a mix of lower tire air pressure, longer warmup times, and maybe even more load on the engine if you're using the heater now.Has anyone seen their MPG drop drastically last week? heater uses waste heatmaybe even more load on the engine if you're using the heater now.
Tire where checked and have normal air pressure, I don't warm the car up, really hasn't been that cold yet, and the fan is always running in the car either blowing hot air or cold air. Only thing I can think of might be to play with ip timing and i.q values.Don't the fuel stations around here start moving to a winter mix in mid-October? I just filled my cummins up this week and it's mileage dropped too. Looks like it is the winter blended fuel.Tire where checked and have normal air pressure, I don't warm the car up, really hasn't been that cold yet, and the fan is always running in the car either blowing hot air or cold air.
