I have been fixing Boeing 737 for 25 years, and I can put a MK4 plate in less than a hour with no power tools in the parking lot at work, and a MK5 in alittle more than a hour, my wife's MK6 took me about 90 minutes last night, if I install anymore that time will be reduced by a wide margin, I used a SnapOn 3/8 racket with fine teeth to attact the front brackets, no extentsion and a 17mm deep socket, the RH side took longer than the LH, but no wobble extentsion at home or universal is needed, I did not use the two gold washers.

There are a couple changes I would like to see
1 the a&p mechanic in me would have bent the plate against the grain
2 tack weld the 3 spacers to the plate, which I'm going to do

Other than those two little things I'm keeping my signature the same, I highly recommend Panzer Plates, simple easy to install, great protection, and of course made in TEXAS is always a plus for me.

'11 Jetta TDI 6MT ___ Plat Gray on Black
First put the 2 bolts and the tighten the 2 black nuts

The 2 black bolts go here
thx alot man. i got it to work. i needed to turn the piece 180 degrees...if u did have it backwards like i did, it will NOT line up. i should have installed the passenger piece first, that probably would have saved this hassle...

install was such a cinch. i did cut very small pieces of the oem plastic shield and put the panzar over it.

for someone who did the short shifter install with ease, i feel like an idiot failing on the plat the first time...thx again to mo_focus and jim from DG
