I looked and I am not fluent with using this fantastic forum, please excuse this question if it's a repeat.

1. I just installed my new Garrett PD140 turbocharger
2. I deleted the EGR (for off-road purposes only, obviously...)
3. I plugged the hose on the N18 that supplied vacuum to the EGR cooler valve

In the process, I unplugged the N75 from the vacuum pump and the turbo actuator, now I can't remember/figure out what hose goes where.

The N75 has 3 ports: 1 white/yellow on the bottom (when mounted)
A middle, and a top port

There is the actuator hose and the intake pipe/atmospheric connection, in addition to the vacuum pump supply (via the Tee for the N18)

What goes where??????

I'm looking in my Bentley manual, nothing. I'm looking on AllData, and can't seem to find it.

Yes, I am missing a chromosome.

Please help the disabled!

The vacuum diagram under the hood should show the correct routing.

I did the same exact thing too this year. Except I removed the EGR valve and put in a delete pipe. When I put everything back together it was a jumbled rats nest of hoses and unplugged connectors. I found a good vacuum hose diagram in the repair manual, but it wasn't super helpfull in getting it back to the perfectly stock routing. What I ended up doing was just rationalizing through my hoses to figure it out.

The EGR vacuum hose is the longest and has an actuator. I removed that, and plugged the hose with a short, blunted, nail wrapped in electrical tape (It's what I could find floating around the garage). Then the only remaining open hose (that routes across the the cam cover) must be for the turbo..... plugged it in..... seemed to work! The remaining open EGR wiring plugs I wrapping in tape and folded up in the space between the intake pipe and the cam cover, with a zip tie to keep it there. Still a bit of a mess, but at least I can't see it.

Rx7145 thank you for that information, the car was repainted at some point and there's no factory info anywhere, kinda a drag.

Immcoy61 - thank you for your words it helped me think it through. When I looked at it again I finally noticed: The bottom plastic nipple (bottom when the connector is on top) is thinner than the other 2, I looked at the vacuum hose that serves the N18&Tee fitting and found the tube connected to those was smaller than the turbo actuator hose and the atmospheric hose, so I concluded the bottom nipple is the vacuum 'supply' The turbo actuator and the airbox hose definitely have larger ID hoses, their size matched up with the size of the remaining 2 nipples. I spent my work day diligently-Googling the N75 connections and after about 25pgs of useless pictures I found it: TDIClub had a member post about 2 and 3 port N75 valves and said explicitly: The nipple closest to the wire connection always goes to the airbox. So, the turbo is connected to the middle one by process of elimination.

This is the link to the N75 tutorial

All help is greatly-appreciated. Now to find my missing chromosome......

I could post up a picture of the vacuum diagram in the next couple days.

Rx7145 thank you for the generous offer, the link above ^ does show connections though it's a bit complicated for simple minds like mine to figure out quickly. If you have a more simplified pic/diagram I know we all can benefit.
