Here's an album of pics of the modification on my MK7 Golf

There is a very generic routing diagram in there as well, keeping in mind I have a 6speed manual gearbox and cannot confirm fitment with DSG vehicle. I would also mention, that 51mm piping is all that is needed throughout the whole layout and would make things clear far better than what I needed to do. So in that diagram, everywhere you see any reducer or 63mm pieces, can make all of them 51mm for much nicer clearance. Additionally, the CUA charge cooler has a traditional inlet for 63mm silicone, the CR150s will need some sort of adapter to make the connection from the "throttle valve" work.

Also you can see how I "deleted" the A2W heat exchanger in the hopes it would help with airflow through the entire core support. Coolant temps are solid even on 100F days here, and AC is pumping ice cold..so no signs of the FMIC blocking airflow too much in normal driving.

I think ideally, and maybe one day I'll test it out, would be a DSG cooler/radiator from a Golf R (if I can find a good shape R bumper) to be used as supplemental cooling for the A2W charge cooler/intake manifold to help keep charge temps lower in normal driving and when doing just single pulls.

Highly recommend FMIC.eu for anyone trying to do FMIC upgrades (shipping is not terrible to the US IMO, and they are super quick to process orders with great customer service). Their silicones are super nice quality, rated for oil and high temps, they also come with very long legs that helps an absolute ton with customizing stuff like this. Their site is also really nice to use, and they have just a huge inventory to choose from. Don't think I'll ever use any other site.
