MK4 Colorado Emissions

Hi MKIV owners.

I'm moving down to Colorado from BC next year. I'm not worried about bringing my 2012 MKVI with the emission mod but I'm thinking of buying another 2001 MK4 (looking at one with 70K) before I come down? We do not have aircare/emission testing in BC so I do not know if the 2001 would pass emissions in Colorado.

Can anyone from Colorado share their emission stories? I've heard great stories about the MKIV TDIs.

Depends where in Colorado you are moving to. You should be fine with the 2001.
Denver area/ front range is the most strict.

As long as the golf is stock you should be fine.
Just make sure you are caught up on basic maintenance and it does not smoke to much.
