Really coming down in price, I'm sick of FWD and I need a new toy. :) MK 6 is appealing because chipping it turns it into a sub 5 second car and traction control/stability control can be turned off with VAGCOM. Anyone on here have any experience with them?

Edit.....:D....seeking words of wisdom.....

Wow. You aren't kidding - prices have plummeted. I wonder why?
Combination of the mk7 getting released and dieselgate. Even though it isn't a diesel, VW prices in general are down due to it.

My officemate has a mk6 R he just spent some time returning to stock so he could sell it, he is not pleased with the offers he's been getting. From what he's said it's lost 3k in value since the dieselgate news broke.

As for experience with it, that car ran in the 12s with the mods he had, certainly very quick. I remember something about cam followers wearing really fast so it's something you have to keep an eye on. Seems like it's been reliable for him, no real showstopping problems just small problems due to the mods he had.
