Pretty easy Luke.

Turn the mirrors so they're facing as far down as they can go. There should be a fairly large gap at the top. Fit your fingers into the gap and pull. It'll sound like the mirror is breaking, but it's just the clips on the back pulling off the base. It should fairly easily come off from the base. Once off, just unplug the heating element wires. Make sure you remember which wire goes to which prong.

To install your new mirrors, just do the above in reverse.

Thanks for the help, I bought the new mirrors because I thought the heaters were gone but now the new ones don't work either...

any ideas what I could check now? Is there a relay for them?
