I don't know whose palm Jon Bartlett greased when he bought his 55-65 mpg, 106 HP miracle 96 Passat, but I don't like it!!!

Boy that is a rare bird for sure! Last night on the way home from work I saw a jet black Passat with huge BBS rims all around, looked alot better than any M3 ride.
Nice car and holder of the American fuel economy record.

Unfortunately, no. The show organizers haven't started that category yet. Sometimes longest distance traveled or highest odometer reading but not the kind of highest mileage for which I'd be a shoo-in. I think that those wheels, a points deduction in stock class, kept me from winning anything in Chicago but the original stock tires would probably not have survived the 2,000 mile round trip. BTW, that Chicago based (v6) B5 in the background took 1st in the Passat group at the Driver's Fest in NYC this weekend. Oh, the lengths to which we Passaters will go to see one another.
