Well it's official! We have the first annual Middle Tennessee G2G, MTG2G if you will ��, date set. March 30, 2013 is the date we are wanting to do this.

The venue is going to be at member vw_nut's house/shop. He has graciously allowed us to use his 21 acres and 30x50 shop with a lift and heat. He lives in Beechgrove, TN which is halfway between Nashville & Chattanooga.

We are looking to grill and do all the other fun activities that come with g2g's as well as getting a Malone Tuner there! We have only 2 rules as of now.
1.)No alcohol please. I don't think any more needs to be said.
2.)Come and have fun!

The food/grilling info will get figured out as the time gets closer. So lets post up on who wants to be here and lets throw some ideas out there on things to do etc.

Yes looking forward to it! BTW Beech Grove (if it the one at exit 97 off I-24) is about 50 miles from Nashville and 90 miles from Chattanooga. Do you have an address yet or GPS coordinates?

edit: suggested rule #3: If your work requires disposal of any used parts, materials, or fluids, make sure you can take them with you when you leave for proper disposal.

I couldn't wait that long for my tune though. Malone stage 5 on the way. I only mention it in case it was a determining factor for the tuner to come. I will bring the vcds for those who want the tweaks done or trouble shooting.

I'd be coming from Cookeville through Smithville/Mcminnville/Woodbury? Which road is best from there to GTG? IF I get to come, which would be more interesting to bring the Salvage stage1 98 Beetle or the stage1 06 Jetta? You guys decide.

Does anyone involved have the rear axle bushing tool? I think I hear a clunk in my rear that I don't like. My car has 300k so it probably needs it regardless...

Looks like its about 2-2.5 hours from my house. I might try to make it over and maybe I can shoot a couple tech articles for Diesel World magazine while I'm there... Should I look into getting a dyno up there? How many people/cars will you bee expecting?

That would be great to get some coverage! A dyno would be great if we get enough interest.

I'm sure we can find something to work on to be covered in a tech article .

I will probably make it as we are moving to Indianapolis at the end of February. About a 5 hour drive no big deal. My car doesn't need anything right now but I will bring my VCDS HEX-Can cable.
