MOGolf has a how-to for the interior rear view mirror for auto dimming.

Maybe I should have been more clear. This is for the external door mirrors. Thanks for the response though.

it will take quite a bit of wiring routing, new mirror assemblies, a new driver side door card control, removal of door cards, yadda yadda. it will most likely also require some coding in the CCM (comfort control module) as these are in the same computer as door locks, etc and your car is not currently coded for power mirrors. I expect this would not be a task for the faint of heart.

Parts swapping isn't a problem. I was hoping if someone knew definitively whether most of the wires were present in the dash even if the door panel wasn't connected to it. Clear as mud ?
