This is not a thread to bash Malone but a way to look at and collect data. There has been a trend of late on here about smoking, over boosting, and overall subpar performance when it comes to Malone tunes on the mk4 cars. I would like to collect user names, tune, symptoms ect if you are having issues with your Malone tune. It would also be beneficial to have people chime in if there tunes are running well and don’t have issues present. Logs and what not would be also helpful. I just see a trend and I don’t want it to lead to larger problems. I would again like to ask that people do not use this to bash Malone or call them down just state facts. We can't solve problems unless we know they exist
Example of a submission of problems

2002 Jetta ALH 5 speed, stock other than

Malone stage 4 ALH.
total rebuild lots of aftermarket.
smoking like crazy under any load.
still breaking the motor in after rebuild, I cant beat it up yet.
i did talk to malone through a tuner and we did a log in vag com. Malone looked at the logs and the tune and they said it was a good tune.
i was told to turn down the IQ to 3.6. i did this and there is a little less smoke but still smokey under load. I think im going to wait untill i have run the motor in more and try to get my money back if im still not happy.
Got some advise from the forum to put it back to stock and turn the IQ up to 5....
the saga continues

Here we go. As you can see the green is requested the yellow is actual. We are getting huge spikes.

If I am interpreting the scale correctly the spikes are about 7 psi and very brief - not ideal but I wouldn't call them huge. However, the over corrections aren't helping driveability.

Yes but we are seeing 25psi ish which isn't good for headgaskets or turbos. I also used a mity vac and tested my actuator. It held the 18hg just fine and I moved nicely.

pegging the map sensor (and at 3400' altitude) when the tune is calling for a max of 2200 is a little worse than "not ideal" i would say :) especially when it will do that on a whim putting the pedal down <2400rpm. all that advance + big boost... good thing it's just stock nozzles o.0 with hardware most likely checking out, there should be no reason for 7psi spikes over on only 17.5psi request tune, that's just damn sloppy, but the problems, like all of these tunes, isn't simply "boost control", its the timing/fueling issues

So I wasn't interpreting the scale correctly

Update. Burpod is getting me dialled in! As you can see from the log below the boost control is much better. Still working out a few little things here and there but overall the car runs much better now. No loss of power, smooth as butter. My dad even commented how much nicer it was idling.
