turbo build required hot and cold side swap making it nearly impossible to run an intake setup so we are just putting a screen on the turbo and callin it a day.

Doing this leaves maf hanging out, and a vacuum line.

can this be plugged and deleted with VCDS ?

the tune can delete it. done right, maf-delete runs absolutely fantastic. gut or completely remove maf for even less restriction :) one less finicky sensor to worry about and 100% unecessary if egr is deleted...

but what do you mean, screen on the turbo? no air filter????

Yes a turbo screen. It’s just a screen on the end of the turbo intake inlet instead of plumbing for an intake setup

well, that's not going to last very long. with all the other piping you're working on, surely a basic turbo inlete pipe to at the very least a cone filter is possible. not terribly hard to do even with just stock piping/silicone

I get that it’s just the space I got to work with is very limited I’d have to cut into the wheel well

I assume that you're doing a swap or at least a turbo swap? Whats the rest of the story?

You'll need it tuned anyway, just get the maf deleted in the tune.
