Lrr 225/45/17 ?

Anyone have any real world experience with this size?
I am averaging ~37 mpg with Biolines and Michelin Primacy MXV4 205/55/16. I would like dress up the car a little but don't want to affect he mpg's too much. I am looking at some fairly nice looking and light weight wheels but can't find a decent LRR tire. Yokohama AVID ENVigor and Pirelli PZero All Seasons might be good candidates?

Michelins! Primacy, or pilots.

I had the primacy MXM4, kept at 45 psi, regularly touched 50 mpg before I sold my 17" wheels. Highly recommended (but not in snow!)

Check tire rack in that size. Any Michelin with a sub-label of LRR: "green-x" is going to pull down great fuel economy.

A 205/50r17 would give you the same overall diameter and should do a little better in the fuel economy department since its narrower. Just another option to check out.

The rim width should dictate which width you choose.
A 205 will work better on a 6 1/2 in wide rim. The 225 would fit better on a 7.
Make sure of the offset. The A5 has a 50 mm offset, the B5, if you're thinking of that as a 'donor' for wheels, has a 37 mm offset.

Less offset AND wider rims AND slightly taller tires may cause fender lip rubbing / shredding.
205-55-16 is 24.9 inch diameter, 225-45-17 is 25.0, 205-50-17 is 25.1
That's 'only' a quarter of an inch higher, but if the sidewall is an inch further outboard too (another 13 mm from offset, plus half the 20 mm width increase), you might have problems.
