low pix mfa to high pix mfa?

hi, does anybody know can you swap a low pix to a high pix mfa straight with no other mod, and that it will work fine?

Yes... I did it in my 2002... Went from low to high. Didn't even have to run wires for the radio, everything went through the CAN-BUS. On 2001 and earlier you need to run wires from radio to cluster.

Hey out of curiosity, what's the difference between the low-pixel and the high-pixel units? Do they look totally different? From the MFA swap thread (can't remember the actual title, but a good thread with pictures and install notes) I think something was said about the high-pixel cluster can integrate with factory navigation system or something as well?

Yes, on 2002 and up model year mk4's with dynamic can bus, you will get an overhead car silhoutte on the display. The part number cluster you need is:
1J5-920-946CX
