Noticing a very large loss of power. even on flats there is nothing. I have had limp and you feel that little jerk when its goes into Limp mode but that is not happening here. I need help from people who have been through this so i can try to figure this out. This is what i can tell you i drive a 2001 vw Jetta TDI 4 door sedan..
1. Vacuum line is wore down but no visible hole in the lines coming off the turbo and egr area.
2. 315000 KM and the intake has never been cleaned?
3.Question, from what i understand the intercooler for the turbo is behind the bumper in front of the radiator is this true? if it is is it easy to clean and would that cause my issue if it is filled with oil?

Please provide me some help!!!

If the power doesn't come back when you restart the car then I would vote for the maf personally as a good place to start. If the power does return when the car's restarted then it's limp mode and I would replace the vacuum pipes as they're really cheap and easy to do, also check for any bursts or bad fittings on the boost pipes. Have you checked for fault codes.:)

when my car was going off and on into limp mode due to my rusted out actuator, it wasn't doing that little jerk. I'd just go to put the pedal down and there'd be nuttin'.

Funny that you would mention that. I had a code read about a year and a half ago and the codes it threw were the glow plugs and maf. So I replaced the glow plugs and read on line to just unhook the maf which I did and have been running like that ever since. I would notice limp Mode once in a while but never really anything that was not fixed by restarting the car. I did pull the maf out and checked it and the little glass thermometer is gone which is the reason it is throwing a code. This last week is when it started with absolutely no power. Like even in neutral stop on the gas and there is a delay/ won’t rev up fast. Can someone direct me to a site where to buy the vacuum lines. Am I better to buy the fabric covered OEM replacement lines or the rubber style that I see here and there that come in all the neat colors.

Have you checked your intake and inytercooler? I had my intercooler plugged up with oil a few times and had almost no power. Drained it and I was on my way.

Defnetly replace your lines. They are cheap and Brian will ship them to you. He's great to deal with.

OEM woven lines, definitely. Otherwise, you are asking for the new headaches of v line collasping....been there done that!
