Looking for turbo rebuild kit

Hello all,

I have a 2012 touareg tdi executive engine code CATA and the turbo is blowing oil like crazy. I'm looking to rebuild it myself but I'm having a hard time finding a good kit here in the states. Please send in any suggestions of websites and or members that could help. Turbo numbers: GTB2056VK, HGR059145873F, S/N: PAX00011R

Couple thoughts come to mind.

I'd call around to local HD diesel shops, and see if they can get the rebuild kit for you. A lot of them do high volume and tend to have either wide access, good prices, or both.

Another thing is depending on your time frame, might not be a bad idea to get a used one from a wrecker (try car-part.com) and then rebuild the original at your leisure. You never know, a good used one might be cheaper and come with fewer miles.

So you're out of dieselgate warranty?

Yes I am. Bought the car from someone selling after warranty was up. Just pulled the engine out to do timing chains and refresh seals when I noticed how bad the turbo was leaking. Intake ports are so gummed up with soot and oil mix
