Hi all,
I grew up with TDIs my entire life - albeit this was in PA with (arguably) trustworthy mechanics.
I now live in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn NY and am considering getting myself a TDI for general use, escaping to PA, road trips etc.
Before taking the plunge, has anyone had any experience specifically with TDI mechanics in Brooklyn?
All my research has told me to stay clear of the dealerships here; TDI mechanics seem hard to come by since diesel is practically non-existent in NYC.
I would also prefer to find a mechanic in Brooklyn; there was some chatter about shops in NJ but that would cost an arm and a leg (tolls!) getting it across state lines for repairs.
