looking for front bumper parts

I had a truck lose a 4 X 8 sheet of 3/4 plywood and it slammed into my 2000 Silver jetta. I am looking for two lower valences, center and driver's side and the front grille and lower part of the bumper of anyone has or knows of a parts source.

Sorry about your incident. Unfortunately, this morning on the way to Nashville, TN, I hit a cat (tried to dodge/stop) which destroyed the lower left corner of my bumper and ejected all three valences. By the time I got back to the scene, cars/trucks had destroyed the valences.

So, in Southeast Kentucky, I am looking for the same thing...... Silver 2000 Jetta!

Not trying to sound like a smart-a$$ but I think the parts you are both referring to are not "valances" but "grills" or "grilles". The term "valance" usually refers to the flat black plastic piece located at the bottom of the front and rear bumper covers.

Yep, Ed, in my case, I am referring to all three Valances located below the so called "bumper." They are indeed black.

When my car impacted the cat (at about 50 mph braking) the three Valances were ejected or knocked out. In fact, the impact was so strong, that it not only crunched the lower left corner of the black part, it crushed the bumper on that corner and the stress was so strong the center lower section of the bumper was cracked. Car is drivable, but looks like crap!

I believe there was instant flexing of the bumper/valance holding piece that resulted in the valances being kicked out/released/ejected.

My bumper is all but trash.

I hit an alligator strip (retread blowout piece of crap that semis use) and it took out my driver's side grille. I need one too! lol

I have an extra passenger side lower grille. I purchased it for a 2000 Jetta, however, the tabs were not in the right place and it would not stay in........... must be for a later model... 2001? 2002? 2003?

That musta been one hell of a cat! I hit a huge racoon several years ago in Alabama that broke apart the radiator, stranding me in the bad part of town... So I know that awful feeling.

And I too am looking for a part, the driver's side front bumper grille up and disappeared on me a while back. This is a 2005 Golf and online searches so far have come up empty.

My wife had a big bump in the road jump out at her and she lost the passenger side vent on her 05 Passat. I've been searching for a replacement for the past hour before I came across this vendor on Ebay.

They sell all 3 lower pieces, or in my case, I was actually able to buy just the passenger side piece that I needed.
