2014 Passat SE def system diagram, is there a way to bench test the def pump. Need to diagnose 200 mi no start countdown and stored code: p20e8-low reductant pressure .

It's giving me headaches as well, I'm keenly awaiting any replies.

Apart from low pressure error I've started having also open circuit errors and injector errors for the reductant sistem.such a ****ty design.

Mine flashed a po205b-Reductant Tank Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance a 2 weeks prior to the sudden 200 mile warning. I'm going to salvage yard to grab any and all def components I can get.

128000 miles, so no warranty.

It's crazy how many people complain about issues with the reductant system. It's like they made sure every piece of the system will fail at some point.

Btw, you can reset your Adblue range limit once it runs out with either VCDS or obdeleven. I use the latter for convenience

any particular model? Does the basic provide those functions?

Yes, any basic VCDS interface (even knock-off ones, but I'm not sure if these can be discussed Don the forum) or OBDeleven device can perform the reset.

It's under engine - basic settings - Reset SCR lock
You have to have the range exhausted completely for it to work.

If I were you though, I'd reset the learned values for everything that has to do with the SCR, EGR and DPF, and do a 40-60 minute highway drive, you might be lucky and have everything reset.

I say if you can, delete the DEF system with a tune. Never feel threatened that you can't drive the car.

I had my car tuned and to add the DEF delete was free option for me.

Recently I got a CEL error code 205b and 205c in my 2013 Passat which I had O'Reilly's clear before taking a trip to Greenbay from St. Louis, about 500 miles. I learned a lesson I think to address that error message immediately as the "no start" situation follows (without warning) soon after the CEL relating to the DEF tank. Will the VCDS reset the DEF "no start" red indicator error indefinitely. In other words while I was 500 miles from home in Green Bay I had to drive back to St. Louis without shutting off the engine because of a "200 miles to no start" error message. I am in the process of replacing the DEF heater now but want some assurance that when on another future long trip that I can get back home without having to stop at a dealership if the DEF system fails again. How much assurance would traveling with a laptop and the VCDS gadget give me to get home , resetting any possible DEF error messages along the way. My first DEF heater failure occurred at 120,000 miles under warranty and now it failed again just out of warranty at 151,500 miles. I just want to feel comfortable taking this vehicle on long trips. I prefer to keep the car stock for now , no tuning or deletes.

Update: received and installed the def pump module (part# F01C600194). Adblue warning remained until I drove several miles. Started car this morning and engine light with NOX² sensor code. Light cheated on it's own by the time I got home from work this afternoon.
I had the 205b code is what started this saga, but I reinstalled my original tank heater assembly because the ohm reading was in range.

I live just south of St Louis. Can possibly show you what I went through with my Passat. Theres a lot of information about the def system in but it's not all conforming if not contradictive. The Ford 6.7 diesels also use th Bosch denoxtronic system. If you know anyone with these pickups, they may be able to advise also.

Hey Ronin, I'm a new member with a different vehicle but I have the p204B code. Reductant pressure sensor range. When you replaced the module did it have this "sensor" on it?

VW has a repair kit for the Passat, 562 198 270 B, currenty it can be found in the $300 range, I also found a company that offers a kit with a lifetime warranty. My Passat is still under VW warranty and was repaired this past week, I had the red def bottle and wrench warning light with no start condition, my code was P205C

Hey Ronin86, the diagram is for a Ford. Is it the same urea pump used in the def system for audi? Also would you happen to know which tank it is in? I know there is a tank located above the passenger rear wheel and another one under the car.

Edit: sorry re-read the post and it appears that it does work.
