Thanks! Still haven't gotten to the pump adjustment because I really want to throw the alternator pulley on first and do those at the same time, and my alternator tool has disappeared! Looked all over the place, tool boxes, throughout the car, boxes of spare parts... Found a lot of stuff I'd forgotten about but still no pulley spline tool, about to try a couple bicycle crank removal tools to see if one fits.
Checking the timing graph I'm almost up to the green line and in measuring block 000 box 2 it bounces a little between 66+67

Adjusted the pump pulley until vcds showed timing right near the blue line, its just a smidgeon above the blue but pretty close, the number was bouncing between 54-55. Also reinstalled a missing intake manifold bolt. This log is fairly brief but does have a highway on ramp. Feels likes maybe a little bit of slowdown shudder every once in a while

Took another log tonight, 011-004-001, when the log starts car is already mostly warmed up coolant temp at about 150°F, and the timing graph is exactly on the Blue line. I think the log goes until the laptop went to sleep.
At the end of the drive the line was a half a block higher above the blue.
Do you think it should still be adjusted a little bit more for less advance?

there's not much point in fiddling with physical timing more than that unless you know what the tune is doing if you have 11mm and/or larger nozzles, it would be my opinion it should still go lower, but whether or not that's beneficial.. again, depends on tune and other things. it's only shifting the available window of timing to the tune.

A 11mm was swapped in last timing belt change about 50k ago but dunno what nozzles are in there, the previous owner mentioned some sort of tune but by whom is still a mystery.

Overall how do like the “renewable” diesel; like the kind at 76? I live in extreme Northern California and had never seen anything except B20; which I don’t use. But I had to make a trip to Los Angeles and was just outside of Lancaster and that’s all I could find down there. During my time down I filled up twice with it. Anecdotally, I felt my car ran a bit smoother. Just seeking your opinion

My car and truck run smoother, cleaner, and quieter with it, the only downside is a little bit of a drop in fuel economy. Stock cars and trucks seemed to pick up a little fuel economy running it and my guess is because the timing is not advanced.Overall how do like the “renewable” diesel; like the kind at 76? Yes, I also see better fuel economy when running it. Not sure why, but I don’t have as much drop off in regards to “city” mpg?
