Any chance of extending the deadline until Monday, at least?

There seems to be alot of last minute hurried interest, but if everyone was aware that they still had a full weekend to resolve/polish/tune their design...



It would seem an extension might be in order, to prod our talented folks to try their luck...
not a huge extension, but perhaps a little more time..

I'm willing to do that. The deadline is now Monday, May 18th to allow folks a little more time to add the finishing touches to their designs.

Ideas

I just kept it simple, minimal color usage and didn't use monuments.. Ringer Tee's would be nice. Doesn't have to be on white. Could be different colors. Just some ideas on the same concept.

I like a simple Front like #1 which reaveals all when you see the back of it.
But maybe it's too late

I'm on vacation in Michigan for a couple of days, so we'll put it to a vote when I get back. If anyone else would like to submit a design, throw it out there and we'll put it to a vote!

my thoughts:

I also appreciate the dual symbolism of the glow lamp icon as part of the year designator.
My thought would be to keep oEo's, no-front-text suggestion #4, but in yellow on black (instead of the shown white on red) to more closely mimic the appearance of the instrumentation inspiration.
(perhaps a slightly larger font for the 2 and 9 also).

His proposal for the back view is ideal.

The issue is then: four color$, with yellow and black alignment somewhat critical....

I like #3 but in a mix of red/white/blue like #5 front from oEo with TeDeEye1's back but with a smaller wash. monument.

Rough copy:

Obviously the outline would be black and there would be no black 'square' on the Capital building, but I think I get the idea across...

If I 'blow up' the Capital building further it gets fuzzy...The art team at Crown would do wonders with this rough copy!

oEo's #3 or #5 but with the 2 and 9 worked in on either side somehow.

I would go for two long sleeve shirts, perhaps something to think about. After all, the diesel still flows when the temp drops, right?

I like the glow plug shirt too. Plain glow plug on the front and the one with all the lettering in back. Nice.

Sorry if this was covered somewhere else I didn't see it.

I like the design. Can a 2009 fest t-shirt be sent to me?

I can't attend, would like to support the site and get a t-shirt.

Just register (before 8.9.09) and ask for the shirt to be sent in the mail? Or will the shirts be avail. w/o registration for a bit less (say $25 or $30 vs. the $40 registration)?

Go on to http://www.tdifest.com and order an "Extra" t-shirt without paying for the registration. Fill out all of your information, and make sure that you explain what you want us to do in the comments section. Maybe add a couple of dollars as a "donation" to cover shipping expenses.
