Hi Guys,
Here's a problem that's bugged me for years. I have a 2002 Jetta TDI and when its raining or very humid, I need to baby the car or else it will go into limp mode. Sometimes it's so bad that it's difficult to keep it at 120km/h without having to turn off and restart the car.
Occasionally when towing a trailer (a heavy trailer) it will also go into limp mode in the dry. Trailer plus a wet day is terrible.
The car runs and revs perfectly otherwise with no mechanical problems otherwise.
My only idea is to remove and cleanup the turbo, but I have a feeling this isn't the problem. The car has 150,000km and is driven with spirit.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Nicholas
