I have full line of Craftsman impact drivers. Have not have any issues with them. They carry a 3 year warranty and Lowes carry them.
Dont know about lowes but if you have a ACE hardware in your area they will exchange. I have had to wait for a tool to be ordered if it wasn’t on the shelf but they’ve always honored the warrantyOff topic, but does Lowes honor the old Craftsman warranty? I have an old 1/2" drive ratchet that doesn't work (was my dad's) and I'd like to swap it out for new. Back when it was Sears it was a simple hand in the broken tool and they handed you the replacement.
Hmm, that would be a good question for the craftsman fanatics over on Garage Journal. How old is it?So, could the old ratchet be rebuilt? Or are all rebuild parts China anyway so it doesn't matter?
Only if they have the exact model of the tool.Off topic, but does Lowes honor the old Craftsman warranty? Somewhat off-topic, but you can always fill through the little "port" next to the shifter tower, too. T40 or T45 head bolt.could not get the 5 speed fill plug off , couple of weeks ! Got the earthquake air impact 62891 for $70 from harbor freight and it did the job
A guy I knew that repaired all types of tool told me to squirt a bit of oil (any type oil but not heavy weight) in the air fitting of any air tool daily or more often if used a lot.I've been using an old Campbell Hausfeld air compressor that fell out of the back of a truck. I gave the guy $15 for it. Seems I spent another $25 for parts to repair it. I've used it over 20 years. I think it is a 25 gallon capacity. I have it set to kick on at 95 PSI and off at 125 PSI.
I use my Dad's very old Chicago Tool 1/2 inch impact gun (he retired in 1987). It has served me well.
I also have a 3/8 inch drive Craftsman impact gun and an el cheapo air ratchet from Tractor Supply.
Yeah, I also have one of those el cheapo electric ratchets from eBay. Seems I've been using it about six years.
