Bring it to the dealer for a replacement. Shouldn't tear like that unless there was something in the trunk that ripped the leather.

that looks like a cut not a tear, but best way to fix it is a new seat cover.

That does not look like a failure of the material to me. Looks like something gouged or cut it.

I'm sorry I should of worded differently, yes I think this was due to human error so doubt warranty will cover it. I've heard of some products kits that repair vinyl and leather seats but I've never tried using them. I was hoping someone had prior experience and could recommend a repair kit. Thanks!!!

Check with your dealer. We used to have a mobile guy in our area that hit all the dealerships. He only did interior repairs and could work some real magic. He and the dent fix it guy had a steady stream of used cars to work on. I suspect there's something similar in most larger towns.

on my 2009 Sportwagen one of the seat belts broke and the plastic cut the pleather when I folded them. Dealer replaced it without question.
