I am looking to buy a jetta that has a hole in the leather drivers seat and I was wondering how much it would cost to patch/fix what looks to be a hole no more than the size of a nickel?

Find out and offer the seller that much less for the car!

You don't patch leather. Remove the section of the seat than needs replaced and sew in a new piece. It's not like repairing vinyl covers. It's usually not a DIY type thing. Get the quote and remove that cost from the sale of the car. Then take the car in and get it fixed.

If it is any help to you, I just replaced the leatherette seat cover in my 06 Jetta. I bought the seat cover online WWW.1stVWParts $231.00. I think a leather cover was about $300. I jumped in my car with a ballpoint pen in my back pocket. Put a three corner tear in the seat material that could not be repaired to my satisfaction.
Removing the old material and installing the new took about 3 hours. Make sure you have some band-aids on hand!!!

I did that with a screwdriver in my back pocket on mine! (Dumb me even knew the screwdriver was there and that I should remove it from my pocket because of that very risk, but soon forgot about it and moved on to something else). A few minutes later I sat in the driver's seat to clean the dash board. I was lucky. the leather just got a small hole poked into it.
