96 B4V...Have a windshield that leaks right where the luggage rack meets the top of the windshield. I had it replaced a couple years ago, it took them 2x to get it right though. I had the headliner out, and the plastic parts off to fix the black crap blowing out of the ducts, so I could see the water dripping. Now that our PNW weather is back, I've noticed the leak again...wet carpet...I'm assuming it's from the same spot.
Anyway...somewhere on here I read about having the correct windshield to resolve this problem, and at the time I figured my problem was resolved and I didn't need any more info. Well...I can't find the info for it now.
I didn't know there was a special windshield. How do I find one? and where?
thanks

A windshield place will likely be able to source it, but a dealer may in fact be cheaper. I got and installed the factory glass from a local VW dealer here in Canada, The glass was ~$235 plus taxes - not bad for the factor glass on a not-so-common 16 year old car.
