Leaking fuel lines

I have a 2012 Jetta that is leaking fuel. I've narrowed it down to lines that connect from the fuel tank to the fuel filter housing lines. The leak is coming from inside the frame where the lines enter and route up inside the engine bay. I'm thinking that the line chaffed inside the frame. Oddly enough the car is running fine with no issues with fuel delivery. Currently not driving it because of said leak.

Has anyone dealt with this? I've been looking for replacement lines online with no luck. Just wondering if I should make my own.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I stripped a Jetta for parts awhile ago and was surprised how the lines were routed inside the frame. I’m surprised the lines don’t chaff more often. There is a brand of fuel line repair parts called S.U.R and R. They make all the parts to make or repair just about any fuel line.

Hey thanks for that! I will give them a look.

Do you happen to know what size fuel lines are on these cars?

When my car started leaking fuel and actually starting taking this apart, I was surprised too how those lines were routed.

I don’t know what size but using a dial caliper should be able to get the OD of the line and find the right splice.

when you say "lines" are you referring to the hard metal line or the rubber hose?
much different repairs.

never measured, but they look sure look like 8mm to me.

Which one is the metal one? The blue line or the black one? I haven’t taken it out yet cause I want to get parts before opening up the fuel system. The leak is coming from inside the frame.

I’m pretty sure they’re nylon. I’m gunna just get that kit from SUR and R auto. Should work fine. I may route it next to the frame incase there are any issues in the future.
