July 21 sounds good to me. On Sunday we bought a 1996 Passat wagon that was on a local lot in Monroe, I am thinking it needs to be Upsoluted. I guess I will need to get ahold of Garrett to see if he can bring the chips for it. Heinz, good to hear you found a car to bad you had to go to Chicago to get it, have a safe drive home.

Saturday, July 21st sounds good.

Who has directions to the GTG, times, etc., and is anyone else coming from Vancouver area, in addition to Fred and MacGuy?

I hope to get my PX panel filter by then, I've been waiting patiently since early April!

I hypothesize that Heinz is currently away, merrily driving his new TDI back to the NW, and additionally that directions to his place (aka the GTG location) will be forthcoming upon his arrival. Hopefully along with pics. We like pics.

Well, made it back in one piece. From Chicaco to Olympia ( 2100 miles in 48 hours) was a quick trip but worth it. The new ride is a 2001 Tornado red Golf Gl automatic with now 7800 miles after getting home. I was able to retieve most goodies off the old one so this weekend was spend installing the equipment. Everything is now getting set for the 21st of July including chipping if we can get enough vehicles lined up. Please send a note directly to Garretp with your year/make so he can determine hoe many will be chipped and what he needs to bring. Hopefully we can gather enough for him to make the trip out to financially make it worth his time. I still miss my white 5-speed but will learn to like the new one. I still have the brake tool for those interested, again sleeping accomodations are first come first serverd. Thank you again everyone for your concerns and caring thoughts.

Hey Heinz, are you interested in injectors for your new Golf. It's automatic right?
I MAY have 0.205's so if you want 0.184 I can bring it with me. But, as I said MAYBE because my 205's are not hire jet. I'll let you know.

Looks like we are 50/50 on the GTG. My brother on law and his wife are expecting a baby some time in the middle-end of July. We will DEFINATLY be there if we can, but we may have to drive to MT at any moment. I really want to make it so we can get our 2000 Jetta chipped. Anyway, sorry to be so tenative. We really want to be there. We'll see.

Garettp expressed interest in coming out for the GTG but we have to have enough vehicles. Please reply to the NW Chipping GTG thread to show your interest.

Additionally I will be giving away a nearly new VW Drivers edtion 5 speed shift knob. Anyone else with freebies please add to the list.

Fred - can you bring some Farfrompumping stickers with you??? Lost mine in the wreck.

Greetings, I am interested in making it out for the 21st, if I am not out of town. I would love to talk to other tdi'ers about mods, chip vs. box, etc. and a road trip is due. Count me in when directions are dispersed. Also, if anything is needed, tools, beverages, or ?, let me know. Sounds like fun.

Hi Tom
Good to know that you will be back from across the pond to attend. Looking forward to seeing the mods you have made and for everyone else to see. Busy detailing out the red tornado slug(Automatic is not good when you are used to hopped up 5-speed). Unfortunately as I look closer the previous owner did not take good care of the car and with 5K it looked worse then my old one with 45K. Give me time and it will shine. Added my old goodies except for the chip since I could not remove the ECU. At the GTG the boost gauge will be re-installed. If anyone wants to install a boost gauge from autometer the neccessary tools and expertise are at hand. Tom, What stickers are you bringing back ?? Instruction on how to get to the GTG are posted on top.
