Hello
I have a blue motion 2L TDI 13 plate Volkswagen
The front near side knocks when driving at around 20mph/25mph, it is more noticeable when slowing down, it’s really loud in the front passenger well
I have changed the near side front wheel bearing, front near side drive shaft, breaks and discs, took the the wheel off and put on spare on, Still knocking
Took it to a transmission specialist and he took it for a test drive and said it’s not the gear box.

Three separate garages have looked at it and don’t know what it is.
The only clue I have looked online and there is a taper bearing inside the gear box which could be knocking?
I’m really stumped please help
