Key Fob Touareg

Hello All

Where can I purchase a replacement key fob for my 2012 Touareg ? Can I get this cut somewhere or do I have to go to the dealer ?

I'm not sure anyone but the dealer can program it.

I believe dealer only, for our wagon we had to wait for a replacement that dealer ordered came from germany, its vehicle VIN specific and then is programmed once received by the dealer. It was a warranty issue so didn't pay for it but was told it can be between $200 and $300.

For the treg, with programming, probably over $200, but that was a couple of years ago.

Leavens VW dealer in London quoted me $ 350.00 for the programmed keyfob and cut key for my 2015 Passat.

I bought and had it done in Mexico for just under $ 200.00.

Of course I realize not everyone can do it that way, but I spend all winter down there.

If you just need it as a back up in case you are locked out, I've 3d printed valet keys that do the job.
Doesn't really help if you need to drive.

I have a Kessy FOB and uncut key which I bought off eBay for US$ 90.00 and I did not pay attention to the correct numbers on the key fob. Cannot be made to match my car. It is correct info that ONLY a dealer can match the electronics in the key fob to the VIN number of the car.

These are the numbers on the key fob in this order. Your key fob must have the same numbers

561 837 202 A 19/11 S 10
5FA 010 206 30 1C2694A-010206T
DE Hella 315 Mhz FCC ID: NBG010206T

I am willing to sell this.

Spoke with the local dealership, they are looking for $500.00 for a replacement key and programming.

Seems like the only option.
