Key Fob Sound On/Off when lock door

Can anyone tell me how to change the remote door lock fob to/from making the loud beep sound when remotely locking door?

On a 2009 JSW, it's easy. You can do it from the MFD. Go into the menu and choose "convenience" (IIRC) and then you will see a choice called "ATA Confirm" (ATA = Anti-Theft Alarm) and turn it off. In newer (Mk6) cars this requires VCDS, but your (and my) '09 JSW it can be done without it. This should be in your owners manual where they talk about the MFD menus.

My version does not have MFD. It was done on the key fob, just don't know the combination of button to press to activate. The guy who did the preparation before I took delivery did it once.

I keep forgetting that Canadian models have different options than US models. All '09 JSWs in the US have the MFD. It might be in your owner's manual (but I do not know). Good luck.
