The info came up with first a ding ~~ then a constant notice to fill up in decreasing miles.

What is this gas you speak of? In the tires?

No he said it was in the tank. Perhaps it was an M-4 Sherman? He won't get far with one gallon in that.

Our tanks are 13.2 gallons. I’ve driven to 0 miles on the MFD a few times and could only get 12.4 gallons in, and that was topping up to the brim.

So, there’s about a 3/4 gallon reserve when the MFD hits 0 miles range on these cars, so no worries. Just don’t go too far past 0.

Now we get to hear from the alarmist crud-in-bottom of tank/you’ll-burn-up-your-pump/you’ll-shoot-your-eye-out crowd...

Yes

I filed my yesterday (showing 21-ish miles to go) and only took 11.1 gallons.

I did not fill it to the neck, but did "cram" it with 10-12 clicks on the nozzle.
