TDI longevity questions come up from time to time and there are several threads on the topic. Here's a variation on the topic....After a conversation I had with a friend of mine where we accounted for all miles logged in every car we've owned in our lives, that got me thinking about how many of those miles I've logged were in DIESEL vehicles.
Here are my stats:
558k total miles in gassers.
706k total miles in DIESEL vehicles, including but not limited to TDIs.
----------------------------------------
Grand total 1264k miles driven in my lifetime to date.
The numbers show I've logged more miles in DIESEL vehicles than gassers. All of the diesel miles have been logged since getting my first diesel in 2002 (02 Golf TDI).
OK, so how many miles have you driven in your lifetime? Of those miles, how many miles were logged in DIESEL vehicles (not limited to TDIs)?
